Perry is an artist originally from Hong Kong and currently residing in Canada. Her joy comes from capturing life's moments and emotions in the form of a personal diary. Her work is influenced by her design background, and she transmits her feelings through objects. By enriching the pieces in this way, she allows viewers to feel subjectively how she feels, enabling them to come to a better understanding of the unique meaning of everyday experiences.Her favourite medium is watercolour, though she creates arts in different media. She had been doing plein air sketches and paintings for some years and published a book in 2011 to share her plein air experience, entitled “Sketching | Impression of Life”. In addition, she was one of the contributors of “Urban Sketching Disappearing Landmarks in Toronto”, a book published by Toronto Urban Sketchers, whose aim is to highlight the artistic value of disappearing Toronto architecture. She is one of the local correspondents for the Toronto Urban Sketchers Blog.These years, she has been creating a series of works titled "It Rains...", showcasing the beauty of hard times. We learn and grow through our struggles, and sometimes, we become confused, which leads us to think deeply and grow.
