Toronto Botanical Garden

As I need to prepare paintings for the show show “Essence of the Garden: Plein Air Art Exhibition and Sale," I come to Toronto Botanical Garden to paint. I have been to the garden for many times because it is a popular place to do the plein air.

I had painted the same scene some years ago and I want to paint it again. Here we are, the mini waterfall.

I decided to paint Doug as well in a painting and the title is “Painting the painter”. I didn’t paint the bridge about the water to leave more room to the seven. The stream and the white left for the rocks and waterfall created an invisible path to guide the viewers to the focal point where the painter and waterfall are.

Painting with me was not just my friends. I was the lunch for the mosquitoes. My face has mosquito bites for a few days.

When I was about th finish my painting. There as a visitor, a crane, landed on a rock checking what we were doing.
